The Book Castle has been one of the area's leading independent booksellers for over twenty years.
When we started to publish local interest books in the mid-1980s the idea of one day presenting a catalogue of over 100 titles was not envisaged.

Indeed, no other similar bookseller has achieved such a list.

We know all too well how interested many people are in the heritage and countryside that surrounds them. It has been our privilege to be the catalyst that has encouraged and enabled so many authors to share this expertise with a wider audience.

Our titles have gradually spread out from South Bedfordshire to cover several adjoining counties, and we are grateful to all our fellow booksellers for their support, as we thank you, the reader, for your custom! We hope you will find many hours of pleasure as you read our books.

All our publications are of local interest and we prefer to confine them to the counties of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire.
